Seville Is Not Just About Tourism, It is About Jobs, Too
The city of Seville is known for its artistic heritage and cultural traditions as well as its beautiful environment, all of which make it a top tourist destination in southern Spain. Bullfighting, olive orchards and tapas are just a few of the things that draw tourists to the capital city of the province of Seville and of the autonomous community of Andalusia.
Did you know, however, that Seville is also a top draw for job seekers? This is because it is also the financial capital of southern Spain with major banking establishments, investment houses and other finance-related institutions calling Seville home. So, if you wish a career in finance, be sure to check out Seville in your Spanish sojourn.
But before you do so, you must book a holiday apartment first. The Internet has many online reservation sites from which to choose your accommodations while looking for a job in Seville. Of course, you may extend your lease even after you have landed a job especially if the apartment is still well within your budget.
And since Seville has one of strongest, if not the strongest, economy amongst all Anadalusian cities, you are assured that job prospects are very good. Such a strong and stable economy is often attributed to the huge size and strategic location as well as the excellent physical infrastructure of the city.
There are two main sources of jobs in Seville - the service and the industrial sectors. First, the service sector employs the majority of Seville's working population and, hence, accounts for a significant share of the city's economy. It is centered on the three areas of commercial trade, financial services and tourism.
Second, the industrial sector is very much alive and well in Seville. Many technological centers and industrial parks are present in and around the city, of which some are the largest in the province.
You can proceed to the Dos Hermanas, the largest industrial park in Andalusia; the Alcalá de Guadaíra, the biggest industrial complex in terms of surface area in the autonomous community; the Parque Científico Tecnológico Sevilla Tecnopolis with its university departments and focused on new technology development; and the Parque Tecnológico y Aeronáutico Aerópolis for the aircraft business. The numerous industrial organizations in Seville account for almost one-third of the city's economic output, with excellent growth prospects for the future because of the excellent support infrastructure.
The job prospects in Seville are at their peak nowadays. You should consider changing locations to start a career in this most beguiling of cities. In many ways, you will have the best of both worlds - a very good job with excellent pay in the mornings and a happening social life in the night and weekends, all thanks to the great city of Seville.
